We are Rhonda and Roger Lemmon, and we are ready to invite a new member into our family. We, along with our dog, live in beautiful Buffalo, Minnesota. Our small town has a great community, complete with its own downtown, which we are within walking distance to. We can’t wait to open our home to someone in need. We have one bedroom available in our spacious five-bedroom house, and the person supported would have a private bathroom. The kitchen, living room, dining room and deck will all be shared by everyone. We have lived in our community for over 20 years and have been providing family foster care for over 13 years.
We have been blessed with three children, who now have children of their own. We are a very close family and have gatherings regularly. Our values include commitment and connection with others as well as health of our bodies and minds. We believe in the balance between hard work and relaxation. Household chores will be tackled by the group, as each member has responsibility to contribute as they are able. We enjoy being active in our church and spending time with each other. We have a great back deck and wonderfully wooded backyard.
In the Lemmon household, we strive to be present in each moment. A perfect day for us would be one in which we have the opportunity to do just that. Whether the moments involve working, taking care of the home, serving others or spending time with friends and family, we recognize that each moment is a gift and we try to do our best with the gifts we have been given. All our children grew up with those we have supported in foster care throughout the years and are very welcoming to a new person coming into our home and family.
Roger is an over the road truck driver, and Rhonda works part-time at a holistic clinic. We both value quiet time, as well as opportunities to fulfill our social roles. It is our hope that, by becoming Host Home providers, we would be able to encourage someone to promote their own best health, happiness, and fulfillment. Life experience has helped us discover more about our roles as teachers, mentors and people. This gives us confidence that we will be able to support our next resident to make healthy personal choices, further their independence, and enjoy their life to the fullest.
