This individual would have her own bedroom that is already furnished and share common areas with myself, my daughter and family pet. There is a nice size fenced in back yard with a garden in a fairly quiet neighborhood in St. Paul. Our home is multi-level with all bedrooms on the same level so the individual would need to be able to maneuver stairs. We offer an intimate and supportive family setting where the individual is given opportunities to be social and learn the tools to help her be as independent as possible, while being given the dignity to be independent at her pace.

I have worked in human services for over 19 years starting with children and adolescents as well as with adults with physical and developmental disabilities. I have managed many Corporate Foster Homes in my career and I enjoy what I do for a living and am looking forward to opening our home to a woman to help her develop the skills she will need to be more independent so she can have a more purposeful life. We are a Christian family who want to open our home to someone we can help have a better quality of life. We are honest and will expect honesty and integrity from anyone living in our home, their families and their casemanger especially with regards to behaviors to ensure safety for everyone in the home.
